Working With EGA (Terms of Use & Disclaimers)
This website is operated by EGA (Expert Grant Assessments) An Expert Grant Program Advisory, a trading name of Sensory Feasts and Other Adventures Pty Ltd (ABN 48 631 665 980). Founder and Principal Consultant: Geoffrey Clow.
What EGA does
EGA provides advisory and delivery services across the grant program lifecycle. That starts with upstream design: guidelines, eligibility, assessment frameworks, outcomes architecture, governance, and the decisions that sit before a program opens. It extends to assessment delivery, including panel training, moderation, and running assessment teams for live rounds.
We do both because most grant programs fail at the design stage, and someone still has to run them well once they are designed. The two are connected. Good design makes good assessment possible. Good assessment without good design is experienced people compensating for missing structure.
What EGA does not do
We do not provide legal advice. We do not provide financial advice. We do not conduct audits. We do not guarantee that a grant program will achieve its outcomes, pass audit, or avoid complaints.
Design reduces risk. It does not eliminate it. If someone tells you it does, they are selling something else.
We do not administer grant programs, build IT platforms, or write applications on behalf of applicants. We design the architecture and, where engaged to do so, we deliver the assessment services and recommendations.
Intellectual property
When you engage EGA, the deliverables we produce for you are yours on payment. The reports, the frameworks, the design specifications. They belong to you.
Our underlying methodologies, design tools, and advisory approaches remain ours. This is how any professional practice works. Your architect gives you the house plans. They do not give you the ability to be an architect.
Confidentiality
All client engagements are treated as confidential unless we agree otherwise in writing. We do not name clients, discuss engagements, or reference work in progress without explicit permission.
Senior public servants tend to value this. So do we.
Public analysis and case studies
Some content on this website, including case studies and white papers, analyses publicly available grant programs using publicly available documentation. Audit reports published by the ANAO. Program materials available to any member of the public.
Where analysis is based on public information, we say so. Where it reflects a client engagement, we say that too, with permission. If neither is stated, assume it is public information and our own professional judgement.
We do this because the grants sector learns too slowly, partly because nobody writes honestly about what is going wrong and why. Constructive public analysis is part of how that changes.
No endorsement
Mentioning a grant program, funder, government department, or platform on this website does not imply endorsement, partnership, or a client relationship. It means we thought it was worth discussing.
Website content
The content on this website is ours. It reflects conditions and information available at the time of writing and may not reflect subsequent policy changes, program updates, or government decisions.
You are welcome to reference and link to our work. Please do not reproduce it without permission. If you want to use something, ask. We are generally reasonable about it.

This website is provided on an “as-is” basis. While we aim to keep content accurate and current, we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, error-free, or up to date.
White papers, Case Studies and analysis published on this site are provided for professional discussion and sector learning. They are not policy advice, program guidance, or recommendations directed to any specific organisation.

Security
This website is hosted using professional infrastructure providers, including managed hosting, content delivery, and security services. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect website data and communications.
However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Information transmitted via this website is provided at your own risk.
Liability
EGA’s advisory services are provided in good faith and based on professional experience. We do our best work. But we are not liable for decisions made by others on the basis of our published content, and our liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
This is not because we are trying to avoid responsibility. It is because grant program outcomes depend on dozens of decisions made by dozens of people after the design leaves our hands. We control the architecture. We do not control the weather.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with this website or its content are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
